Biggest Cop-Out: Me. I was so afraid to go up and talk to you, it was like I got it with Thor's Shy Girl Hammer or something. I wished you'd been kicked out of 705, only because we totally would have made the Chairman hunt you down and sneak you back in. (Not that we did that since, well, Hannah said she was NOT sleeping in a hotel lobby all weekend and we pretty much agreed with her. Which is how we ended up at a Damn Millionaires session in the hotel lobby.) Next year, I promise I'll come right up to you with a drink in my hand and introduce myself. Prom. Ise.

Best Idea Ever: Journal Camp! Oh good god, that'd be fabulous! In the shuttle on the way back to the airport a gentleman - who attended the engineer's conference at the Omni - asked me if I'd been with JournalCon. I proudly replied in the affirmative and then he told me that he couldn't understand it at all and asked why we all traveled so far for a conference when we could have just emailed each other. He also pointed out that mostly we all just seemed to be in the bar a lot. I didn't really explain it to him, I mean, he's an engineer and all so I'll let him figure it out. He gave me his card though. I didn't understand THAT but whatever.

I'm so sad that I missed JournalCon. I'll have to agree with you, Weet -- Austin is a *very* bad town. The adventures your described were my Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights for four years.

1)re: people who only talk to your boobs...Um, you are, like, an Amazon Goddess. If I could have tilted my neck back or stood back far enough I am sure I could have made eye contact! Wasn't trying to be a perv, honest. 2) I can't believe those lousy fuckers at the Omni sent you to the fricken WELFARE HOSPITAL for treatment. Good lord, woman, be glad you made it out of there without losing a limb. My pet theory, no offense to you, the Goddess from the north, is that the Omni is owned by some really CLUELESS yankees. $5 for a local beer and sending out of town guests to Brack. Jeezus.

I have been waiting for like, eight years for you to update. And hey, at least now you can say you're a JournalCon Veteran, because you have a JournalCon Injury. It rocked rocked rocked meeting you, and we must arrange a karaoke event. The Midwestern Journallers Bad Bar Weekend, or something.

I too have been waiting impatiently for the WeetaUpdate, and it rocks just like I knew it would only maybe even MORE. I've been sitting in my office sort of squealing and banging on my desk laughing because you recapped some details my drunk-ass brain totally forgot. Morrissey, how funny was HE? Didn't we SING to him? And VIN? Oh my freaking GOD, how did I get retarded enough to have grabbed a total stranger and dragged him to you in order to slur about 'how hot ish THISH guy?" Oh yeah, the 9281435257 Texas-sized tequila shots. Good times, good times.

You rule and I'm so crushing because you included me in your diary, dude. *swoon* I LOVE YOU! BTW: The Bad Bar mix has made my commute to work EXCELLENT. I cannot wait to get into my car now. And "It's Tricky"?! GENIUS!

Weet, so glad you got out of Austin alive and still managed to have a fun time. I'll have to disagree with whoever ripped on the Brackenridge hospital choice, though -- Brack is a matter of blocks from the hospital, whereas St. David's, the next nearest, is a matter of miles. Further, Brack has the best ER in the city.

Brackenridge was NOT the hospital for you, and I'm sorry you had to go there. They DO have an AMAZING view of the Capitol, though. It's really all about the view. Seriously, the blow gun? That was wonderful. Totally wonderful. Thanks for listening to me, even when I didn't speak responsibly.

Man, I feel so bad that you got hurt - I saw you on Saturday and you said you were okay, and then someone mentioned that you had gone to the hospital. If I were any good at all, I would have taken you that night. Girl, you know I loved hanging out with you, and I still need to play you a song on my gee-tawr.

All weekend long it was like "where the hell is Weetabix? I saw her swag on the table, I know dat she is heeah, point her out!" but all we heard were rumors of your trip to the hospital. I can't believe you were at karaoke and I didn't mingle enough to find you. Boo! Next year.

*pout* I think I'm definitely going to have to come next year. Between you, Marn, and Ladee Leroy, I have my Triad of Goddesses. I can't live without a Weeta-fix. It's kind of sad, but you're the bestest.

In my head, it will always be the Bacardi Boob Bar. In fact, I think they should officially change the name to the B.B.B. And everytime someone important walks in, they should play Morrissey.

Man, I hardly ever write in my dland, and it makes me wish that me and my roomie could go and just drool over all the dland personalities that would be there. I wanna go to JournalCon, just to meet all ya'll. Of course, you'd have no bloody idea who the hell I was, but hey, it'd all be in good fun. And yeah for the Eddie Izzard comment. He is my gawd. I quote him all the time, and finally hadta get Dressed to Kill so the rest of my college girls knew wtf I was talking about! Glad ya had fun, Weet!

Ohmygosh! This entry was so funny, especially the comment about not messing with Texas but it totally kicking your ass. I know the steep hill of which you speak, and man, I've also seen man a spill. I'm surprised you didn't end up worse, but I'm glad you're okay. I've been reading everyone's accounts, and I'm so sad that I missed the con, and I live so close! Here's hoping this becomes a tradition and I can meet y'all next time!

I'm so sad I didn't get to say Hi to you at JournalCon. I'm going to have to quit reading people's journals because I'm gettin JEALOUS. I heard about your fall from Cruel-Irony, hope you're doing better. If I'd been there I'd have given you two shots of tequila and sprayed some Bactine on it.

Good grief. I just found you through a 6 degrees of separation type journal link and I can't stop laughing. Or crying. Your writing is be-yoooo-tiful. Now I'm reading all the back entries, and found this one, and noticed that there is no track listing of the mix! Please post one so those of us at home can play along?
