Beau Brumell: famous dandy in the Regnecy period. Probably did have his clothes made on Savile Row. (I swear, I do NOT read Regency romances. But Mom always had them around and I'll read cereal boxes if there's nothing else around. Gotta get that words-on-paper fix.)

Annie wasn't bad enough? Then you had to go and mention Iko. That started me thinking about other strange songs, and now, no small thanks to you, I have that weird Da-Da-Da song by I-don't-know-who in my head.... I'm going slowly insane. Meet me there? (What you will and what you won't, uh-huh.)

Da-Da-Da is by a German group named Trio. I know this because my husband has their albums, so I am treated to that song, as well as the comedic delights of their other songs, such as "Drie man in dopple bed" (three men in a double bed). Weetabix, you *almost* got me with the song from Annie. I counter with Paula Abdul's "Cold-Hearted Snake." "Uh-oh! He's been telling lies, he's a lover boy at play, he don't play by rules..."

Oh, thank you! Trying to remember who sang it was almost as annoying as the song itself! I'll see your "Cold Hearted Snake", and raise you a "Raspberry Beret".... you know, the kind you buy in a second hand store? ;)

Aaack. I had repressed the existence of "Cold Hearted Snake". But it is easily wiped out by its master, "Opposites Attract". Always two there are, yes, a master and an apprentice.... good god, did I just quote from Star Wars? I am such a dork.

and don't forget that Billy Joel mentions Beau Brummel in "It's Still Rock and Roll to Me"... as for songs, I keep getting "Margaritaville" (not to say that it's annoying, just sticksalot)

I raise your Margaritaville with that annoying 500 Miles song. "and I would walk 500 miles and I would walk 500 more just to be the man that walks beside daddadaldkjlakjdaksjda'

I get songs stuck in my head all the freakin time, and some seriously shitty ones too. Like when I was a kid I used to watch G.I. Joe before school and for some god awful reason, each morning it always had a barbie comerical during it. And every morning I would be walking to school with the god damn song from the Barbie comerical....damn I nearly beat my head on the side walk several times in desperate hope of getting that damn song out of my head. Now, I play a little game with songs stuck in my head, only my friends don't know I'm playing the game. What I do is I'll quietly sing the song under my breath, loud enough for them to hear me but quiet enough to not really catch there atention. Then I sit back and wait, and the majority of the time I'll either hear them humming, whistling, or singing the song. Of course, I've done this so often they always look at me with an evil look in there eyes after its trapped in there head.....heh heh

I know that whenever I need a laugh, a cry, or just a reality check, I can rely on you. You put on a big front, my friend, but I know that you are a big pussycat. Thanks for a good read. You are one talented lady. Ava
